Hello, I'm April!
I am a certified service dog trainer and behaviour consultant based in Victoria, Canada, with over a decade of experience helping dogs and their handlers build confident, life-changing partnerships.
Originally from the UK, my background in healthcare gave me a unique understanding of individuals with diverse abilities and the vital role service dogs play in their lives.
I hold certifications through the IAABC (CDBC) and CPDT-KA, as well as credentials as a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, Canine Conditioning Coach, and a Fear Free Professional.
As a co-owner of two dog training businesses, and a board member for a nonprofit, supporting service dog accessibility and education, I am deeply committed to community impact.
My training approach is guided by compassion, evidence-based methods, and a belief that every partnership between a dog and their owner deserves to thrive.
April Sauvé, CPDT-KA, CDBC, FFCP
About the Courses
Our dog training courses are the result of a collaboration between Woofability Service Dog Training Inc. and Woofability Academy Inc., combining years of professional expertise, proven techniques, and a shared passion for helping dogs and their people thrive together. Each course has been thoughtfully designed to bring the same quality of training and guidance you’d receive in person straight to your home.
Whether you’re starting out with a new puppy, fine-tuning obedience skills, or exploring advanced training, our courses are here to support you at every step of your journey. Learn at your own pace, have fun with your dog, and watch your partnership grow stronger with each lesson. We hope you enjoy the process and keep returning as you and your dog progress through the Woofability programs.
